Day 1

Batumi → Mestia

Departure from Batumi at 07:00 into the breathtaking region of Svaneti. The road passes through picturesque valleys, dramatic gorges, and mountain landscapes as subtropical scenery gives way to the rugged beauty of the Greater Caucasus. First stop at the impressive Enguri Dam, one of the largest hydroelectric structures in the world, with turquoise reservoir waters and a towering dam wall. Arrive in Mestia, the cultural center of Svaneti at approximately 1,500 meters, renowned for its iconic medieval Svan towers. Visit the Mestia Ethnographic Museum with ancient icons, manuscripts, traditional household items, and weapons revealing the rich history of the Svan people. Check in at the hotel and enjoy free time to explore the town. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 2

Traditions, towers & mountain panoramas

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit a traditional Svan tower house and explore the Margiani House-Museum, a well-preserved family residence with its defensive tower — discover how mountain families lived and protected themselves in the challenging Caucasus highlands. Continue to the breathtaking Heshkili Panorama Point, offering unforgettable views of surrounding valleys, medieval towers, and snow-capped peaks — one of the best places for panoramic photographs. Ride the cable car to Hatsvali Ski Resort and enjoy views of Mount Ushba and the surrounding valleys. Free time for walking and relaxation. Return to Mestia. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Ushguli & the highest peaks of Georgia

Breakfast at the hotel. Journey to Ushguli, one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe at approximately 2,200 meters. Stop at the famous Tower of Love beside the Enguri River — a picturesque stone tower symbolizing devotion and eternal waiting. Discover Ushguli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for ancient Svan towers set against Mount Shkhara (5,193 m), the highest peak in Georgia. Explore the historic district of Chazhashi with centuries-old stone towers and traditional Svan houses. Visit Lamaria Monastery (Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary), a 9th–10th century monument on a hill overlooking Mount Shkhara and the Enguri Valley. After the excursion, return through western Georgia via Tskaltubo to Batumi.
